We've decided to change the format from what was previously published, there will no longer be a pre-season, instead the 2009 season will run very much like the 07 season with Qualifiers followed by a Regular Season for the 8 cities voted in by the fans.

We expect the Qualifiers to be around May/June.  In the meantime we are speaking with regional co-ordinators in all the key cities, we expect there to be approximately 30 cities who will host an Official Qualifier and then the fans will vote for the Best 8 who will host an actual Regular Season Division.

We are looking for partners in the following cities:

Chicago
Boston
Miami
Washington DC
Cleveland
New Orleans
Montreal (Canada)
Tokyo (Japan)

I know this has been discussed several times already on the forum but before we completely close the book on this, i wanted to be sure.  We've already established that a 10 DVD Box Set with all the battles and Look Back Shows is too much, so if we did a Best of the 2007 Season on a single DVD what would be the top 20 must have battles?

We left the promo and date announcement a little late for this one (badly promoted!). Twenty one people turned up but only one, Cruger, had come to battle. There were known MCs there but it's not their responsibility, Kulez, Eurgh and INC all said they hadn't come to battle.

These Pre-Seasons are mainly for new kids on the block but we do ask that some of the more established MCs step up too. There will be a $500 cash prize for the MVR of the Pre-Season.

Having spoken to a few MCs already, it looks like January will be a lot better and lets hope so or UK could be looking at a really weak division if they have a division at all in WRC09.

We will be posting up all the dates of WRC09 Pre Season days by the New Year.

Remember the Pre Season is open to anyone to step up, so dont expect the greatest battles, this is an opportunity for new cats to get some shine and for more experienced MCs to sharpen their blade.  The WRC promotes equal opportunities coz hunger is a better motivator than track record and accolades!

The first London Pre-Season - it's a case of anyone can step up to battle: 2on2, 2on1 or 1on1... this will be every month. Please just turn up at 2pm.

We'll be at the bottom of the stairs at Wembley Park Station, the view of the stadium is hot from here and there's a huge overpass for shelter if/when it rains.

With Scarrs not taking part this year, this months host will be Charlie Sloth. Each month will have a different host until the Divisions kick off.

Remember, this is an opportunity to sharpen up or get your teeth back into battling.
