Thursday 3rd May was the 9th Jump Off of 2012. In the dance crew battle Soul Mavericks came back to see if they could win for the second week in a row. Current raining champs Seano Mac (MC) and King Kevz (Producer) came back to see if they could make it to two and three wins respectively. Judging on the night was Nick Bright, Daren Dixon & Adele White. In the crowd this week we spotted Adam Deacon, DJ Target, Manga, Zdot, Sabrina Washington (Misteeq), Kojo, Jay Emmanuel Thomas, A-Squeezy, G-FrsH, Joe Black, Richie Campbell, J-Spades, and Ny.

This weeks models consisted of the four lovely ladies above. Teisha was back for her 3rd week. If she wins the online vote again, she'll be 2 wins away from the £1000 prize and modelling trip to New York.

  COMEDIAN

Limz

The comedian Limz came to the stage infront of a tough crowd in which he ordered to get some silent. From he's slow start, he found it hard to win the crowd back although he did get a few laughs when he said "you guys are talking so much your'e missing my punchlines...I'm funny you know!".

B-Squad

Raining champs Soul Mavericks went up against new opponents B-Squad to see if they could make it to two wins. B-Squad threw down first and set the levels. Soul Mavericks showed again why they were current champs championing their little star who again did some amazing solo moves. Although B-Squad came very well rehearsed and had a tight routine with some crazy B-Boy moves, Soul Mavericks had the edge as their little 5 year old star stole the show that complemented their big routines. Soul Mavericks took the championship again and we will see them back next time to see them attempt to make it three wins. The battle was a unanimous decision as all 3 judges, the crowd and Dj/Host voted for Soul Mavericks. Big shout out to B-Squad though for stepping up at such short notice!

Mo-Keyz

King Kevz

After King Kevz got to two wins last time out it was the job of new challenger Mo-Keyz to take the champs title. Mo-Keyz came on and built his beat around the samples that were provided and made a real bouncy sample sequence. He also added a crazy bassline and finished his beat with more than a minute to go. King Kevz then came to defend his championship, starting his beat using the samples first the same as Mo-Keyz. The crowd went the way of Mo-Keyz and so did the judges as he took the battle 5-0. Mo-Keyz will be back to see if he can retain his championship crown after his first win next time out.

THE FINAL

SEMI FINAL

Sites vs Midi (0-5)
The 1st battle saw Sites step up against Midi. This battle started a little slow but Midi seemed to take this one in the second round as he came back with some good punchlines for the Half Canadian Sites. I don't think the crowd warmed to the Canadian accent to well but there was no question Midi brought more than Sites.

Midi vs Infecta (5-0)
We had an extra space in the MC Battle and Infecta stepped up to plate to face Midi. This battle was again disappointing as Infecta dropped first in what seemed just any written verse spat for some exposure as he didn't aim much at Midi. Midi came back with a few lines but they wern't special. Rap6 wasn't happy with the standard and only allowed them to spit a verse each which then saw Midi edge through to the final.

Seano Mac vs Midi (2-0)
This final battle was again a bit of a let down. Midi stepped up aiming a few things at Seano Mac that got a small reaction but not enough. I think by this point the crowd had had enough. Seano Mac dropped a few pre writtens that got a few laughs of approval. Although Midi freestyled it just wasn't enough and luckily for Seano Mac he took this one with just two votes as the judges refused to vote.
