Monday 5th March was the 5th Jump Off of 2012. Dance Crew champions Prototype returned to see if they could make it 5 wins to win the £1000 prize and spot in the Finals. Raining champs Innuendo (MC) and Jay Inkz (Producer) both racked up a 2nd win last time out and returned for their 3rd weeks. We was again blessed by a credible judging panel consisting of Twin B, Kate Prince & Shortee Blitz. In the crowd this week we spotted Scorcher, Ghetts, Cleo Sol, Ash Catch'em, Zalon, Abel Miller, Ratlin, Joe Black, Black The Ripper, Manga, Loick Essien, Boadicea Crew, Marlon (Flawless) and Clement Marfo.

This weeks fashion brand was Polaroid Sunglasses who supplied us with a range of their sunglasses. Elodie was back for a 3rd week with more new challengers. If she wins the online vote again, she'll be 2 wins away from £1000.

  COMEDIAN

Junior Booker

The Comedian Junior Booker gave the crowd a bundle of hilarious dialog as he tore up his 7 minute set. With a mix of jokes and gimmicks, the memorable list of infamous "Chicken Shops" kicked off his set as he went from strength to strength. The crowd really took to his comical performance in what was a great way to start the show.

Rationale

Champions Prototype were up against the abstract street dance collective from Sheffield called Rationale. Although Rationale were very aggressive and theatrical with their routine, it seemed Prototype's consistant mix of technical moves and flips out done their opponents. The regime from Prototype saw them win their 5th consecutive battle to take the prize money of £1000 and a place in the Finals. It was again a unanimous decision as all 3 judges, the crowd and Dj/Host voted for Prototype.

Mishlin

Jay Inkz

After Jay Inkz retained the championship last time out, it was the job of new challenger Mishlin to take the champs title. With the anniversary for the death of Hip Hop legend Biggie Smalls coming up this week, it was only right we celebrated his life and lyricism by demanding the producers to make a beat around a Biggie accepella. Mishlin set the standard by going first in the battle where he created a real hard and progressive beat that the crowd really felt. Jay Inkz then came to defend his championship making a real bassy driven beat that also got a good reception from the crowd. Both producers did their thing but the championship run for Jay Inkz came to an end as Mishlin took the battle and the championship that will now see him return next time to defend his new champ title.

TITLE BATTLE - Innuendo vs Tenchoo

SEMI FINAL 2

SEMI FINAL 1

Silqe vs Lee Scott (5-0)
The 1st semi saw Lee Scott step up against Silqe. The battle was a good one as both MC's really stepped up and came with some good content. Although Lee Scott came with some funny punchlines, the crowd warmed to Silqe who took the battle with the crowds vote. His hightlight bar was "Ladies and gentlemen, please give genourously to the Fix Lee Scott's Teeth Fund".

Shooter McGavin vs Tenchoo (0-5)
Tenchoo and Shooter McGavin battled in the 2nd semi that saw the levels raised even higher. After a strong first round that saw Tenchoo take it with the line about Shooter McGavin looking like "one of the bouncers who searched me in the venue", Shooter McGavin
came back with a strong second round but still had 7 seconds left on the clock he didn't use as he was so amped by the crowds reaction. Tenchoo then came back with more hard punchlines and finished Shooter McGavin with his final line that "you still had 7 seconds left" that saw him take a place in the final.

Silqe vs Tenchoo (0-5)
This final battle was electric. Tenchoo really grabbed this battle by the scruff of the neck with the most memorable look-alike line about "there aint no way the Halifax guy's gonna give me extra". Silqe tried to come back but Tenchoo was too much and had the crowd on his side. Tenchoo knew he had this battle and his last line was "two MC's down now bring Innuendo out" and the crowd went crazy!

Innuendo vs Tenchoo (0-5)
Championship contender Tenchoo went first in the battle coming with the line about destroying Liverpool like Robin Van Persie. The scouse Champ Innuendo came to the stage apologising to the crowd for his soar throat and ruggish voice, as he tried his best to deliver but was always up against it. Tenchoo came with more insults and punchlines talking about Innuendo's receding hair line and rolls on the back of his head. Although Innuendo did salvage some good punchlines and still had a lot of pride, Tenchoo took the title match to become the new champion. The votes were unanimous and Tenchoo will be back to retain his new title next time out.
