Lamar was in the Big Apple last Thursday, July 14 for his cousin's funeral. He was being driven by a car service when the car got into a collision with a motorcyclist, whose motorcycle was propelled into the teenager. Both the motorcyclist and the boy were rushed to a hospital in Queens to be treated for their injuries. Words are, the 31-year-old NBA player was seen crying at the scene.

Family of the teen boy told TMZ that he suffered major head injuries because of the accident. He had also undergone emergency surgery, but passed away the following day. A funeral for the teenager has taken place earlier on Monday, June 18.
