"A strong smell of marijuana led police to Ross' hotel room around 11 p.m. According to the police report, upon entering the room officers saw approximately one gram of the drug in plain view.

Carol City-raised Ross -- whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II -- was charged with possession of marijuana first offense and released on a misdemeanor summons.

Gossip site TMZ reports Ross was in Shreveport to perform at a club, and the club's celebrity guest of the night was also arrested. Philadelphia Eagles start Jason Peters was booked for a loud music violation and resisting arrest after an incident in which he refused to turn down his car stereo."
