Slain Louisiana rapper Renetta "Magnolia Shorty" Lowe's funeral is being held now, just one week after the female MC was gunned down in her New Orleans stomping grounds. The 28-year-old former Cash Money artist, signed to the label in 1995, was found shot multiple times along with 25-year-old Jerome "Man Man" Hampton when their vehicle crashed near a New Orleans East housing complex.
Close friend Juvenile shared one of the fondest memories about the MC who would stop at nothing to get the job done. "I think about how small she was, with a big voice,” the rapper told Nola.com. “And how brave she was, as a woman, going to some of the areas she went to and getting on the mic and making her songs."
